The Red Lake Nation branch of the Chippewa Indians have foraged these Northern Minnesota land for hundreds of years. Their wild rice and fruit products are made from traditional heirloom varieties that have always grown wild on this land.
Ancient ways are honored by the Red Lake Nation. They are warrior- diplomats that succeeded in resisting government efforts to force their relocation and abandon collective ownership of property.
